Bonding with the Black-Eyed Peas

Lifa went back to stay at his father's house on Monday.

Rather than recounting the story and details just yet, we want to remember with you. We are so thankful - and stronger in Christ - for the last five weeks we spent together. Days are just better with Lifa around! And I hope and trust his dad is experiencing that truth today too.

My whole African family was sad as the time for Lifa to leave drew near, so we cranked up the music and danced the days away, soaking in every moment, every beat and hoping no one noticed the inappropriate song lyrics. (Please don't judge me...) :)

He's a mysterious God that can make moments of joy spring up in the hardest times. The joy in a family with so few material possessions is such a powerful reminder of what love really looks like.

  1. As Alice Walker writes, "hard times require furious dancing." I feel like any woman whose response to life's challenges is to dance about it, is a woman I can respect and admire. Much love to you, you beautiful and amazing woman!!
